Liberty Moving & Storage is privileged to offer moving services to Active and former Military personnel here in New England.
At Liberty, we have been moving military personnel since before WW ll. In that time, we have helped tens of thousands of military families relocate successfully all across the country.
Our personnel, trucks, and equipment meet or exceed all military qualifications, and our warehouse facility is routinely inspected by JPPSO NE, ensuring that your HHG are stored in a manner that meets the government’s standards of quality, security, and safety. We are certified as a ProMover with the American Moving & Storage Association, which means we’ve passed inspection by the moving and storage industry’s watchdog organization. And we have the highest rating and accreditation with the Better Business Bureau.
Liberty Advantage Veteran Program
At Liberty Moving & Storage, we offer current and former Military families the Liberty Moving Advantage Veteran Program, a special menu of privileges as our way of thanking you for your sacrifice and service. With the AAVP, service personnel with shipments weighing greater than 3,500 lbs., will receive:
- 15% OFF Full Value Replacement protection.
- Our on-time delivery guarantee will reimburse you $150 per day if we do not deliver the agreed date.
- Our on-time claims guarantee that if a completed claim is not resolved, or a firm settlement offer is not made by us within 30 days of receipt, we will pay you $25.00 per day until the claim is resolved. (Up to a maximum of $250.00.)
- $150 discount off the price of your move
Of course, all Military members are also eligible for our standard “Peace of Mind” guarantee, which stipulates that if the truck cannot access your destination address, we will transfer your items to a smaller truck to effect delivery at no extra charge to you.
Long-Distance, Local Moving & Storage Options
Liberty also offers moving services to active duty personnel engaged in a Permanent Change of Station (PCS), TDY, TAD, are separating or are retiring. You can opt-out of the Military’s move procurement process and instead self-manage your move as a PPM or Personal Procurement Program, DITY (Do-It-Yourself) move. One of the largest costs of a PCS move is directly related to the packing. With a standard Government-issued move, the TSP has to do both the packing, loading, hauling, and delivery.
With a PPM, Military personnel in the Navy, Army, Marines, Coast Guard, or Air Force are eligible to receive a government payment of 95% of what would cost the government to procure and manage that same move. Keep in mind that with a PPM, you will still receive all of the standard travel allowances for you and your family that you would have received if it were a government procured move.
With Liberty’s hybrid packing service, you can pack some or all of the cartons, and we can do the heavy lifting and trucking portions. That can save you a significant amount of money. It may seem like a lot of work to “manage” a move, but with Liberty Moving & Storage’s expertise and experience, we’ll work cooperatively with you so you can reap the benefits. Remember, but if you end up spending less than the 95 percent payment on your PPM budget that the government has provided, you may keep the rest.
