Liberty Moving and Storage: Standing with Ukraine
The Ukraine Aid Drive
This month our humanitarian event, the Ukraine Aid Drive, was a great success thanks to the participation from everyone who came by to donate. On March 12th, we collected generous donations at Cardi’s Furniture locations in South Attleboro and Swansea, MA and West Warwick, RI from people who drove through and dropped off aid supplies. We requested that people drop off small boxes of clothing, toiletries, blankets, and infant care to be delivered to those in need in Ukraine. Our team of volunteers worked diligently throughout the day to ensure our event went smoothly and we could not be more excited about the results of this event. The response was outstanding; cars were lined up for miles out of each location, all ready to donate to the aid drive!
- Boxes full of Ukraine donations
Initially, we set out to fill two of our tractor-trailers from our fleet of moving trucks with supplies to send directly to Lviv, Ukraine via Krakow, Poland to support Ukrainian citizens. We are excited to report that together we were able to fill a total of 16 tractor-trailers from Liberty, Arpin RI, and Rhodey Transportation with all of the supplies that were dropped off. Our containers are completely chock-full. Our team at Liberty Moving is working diligently to ensure all of the donations are packed, sorted, and ready to be sent to those who need the supplies the most.
We could never have done this without our team of volunteers, committed employees, and our generous neighbors in Massachusetts and Rhode Island that took the time to donate to this aid event.
We are also grateful for the work of all of the other organizations that were involved in this event including Arpin Rhode Island, Arpin International Group, Cardi’s Furniture, Rhody Transportation and Warehousing, Inc., Ocean State Job Lot, Allscapes Landscaping, Big Blue Bug Solutions, Carpet Cleaning Experts, M&G Trucking Company, Sampson Trucking LLC, Pilotte’s Refrigeration, Gaskell’s Towing, Alta Material Handling and Flat River Pallet.

For those who missed the event or would still like to contribute to the cause, ArpinStrong, one of the other organizations working with us in the humanitarian effort, is continuing to collect donations at http://arpin-strong.org/.
We are blown away by the generosity of our community and thank everyone who has donated whether it was at the Ukraine Aid Drive or via a money donation.
