Liberty Moving and Storage was started in Providence in 1930 as Ernest Plante Moving before transitioning to Liberty in 2004 and is one of Massachusetts’ most respected moving companies. Arpin of RI, was also founded in Providence in 1899 – 1900. Arpin of RI is the oldest, most prestigious, and most successful moving company in RI. Between us, we have been providing families with exceptional moving services since the age of the horse drawn moving van.

As an interstate agent for Wheaton World Wide Moving in both the Boston and Cape Cod markets as well as all of Rhode Island and Eastern Connecticut, we cover one of the largest COD HHG markets in
the US. We also service a huge market of Military moves locally at NETC Newport, Hanscom AFB, Otis Space Force Base, and the Naval Submarine Base New London. Our OTR HHG and freight drivers cover all of the lower 48 states.

What we’re offering for pay and benefits for drivers and crews
Liberty Moving and Storage offers a wide range of salary and benefits depending on the type ofemployment. Full time workers get paid vacation, holidays, medical insurance, and 401K.
As one of the oldest continuously operated HHG agencies in the United States, 122 years and counting, Arpin of RI/ Liberty Moving and Storage offers drivers and crew members stability, financial security, and diverse employment options.
- Entry level crew trainees, warehouse workers summer helpers start at $18 per hour/ $27 for OT after 40. More experienced crews can make 10-25% more.
- Experienced non-CDL drivers start at $21 per hour/$31.50 OT.
- Experienced CDL B drivers start at $24 per hour/36 OT.
What we’re offering CDL A drivers for pay and benefits
- Used truck purchase and financing for well qualified personnel
- New truck lease and/or lease to buy
- Annual salary paid per week starting at $65,000 (no pay by mile)
- Salaried drivers receive a daily trip allowance for meals in addition to their salary
- Salaried drivers are eligible for paid vacation, medical, and 401k
- Owner-operator contractors have a choice of a full cash settlement for each trip or a weekly draw/commission style pay configuration.

CDL A salaried or owner operator freight/no-touch HHG driver | Full time | This job requires you alternate between two roles as a driver; a traditional freight hauler and a no-touch household goods driver. As a freight driver, you will be dispatched by our office to warehouse facilities around the country to bump docks and have your trailer loaded. You will be responsible to meet the delivery reservation at the destination warehouse. You will be responsible to set your own driving tempo to meet that reservation in accordance with FMCSA regulations. You will be responsible to scan all paperwork back to our office for processing. As a no-touch HHG driver, you will be dispatched by our office to the residence of our customers. (Military personnel or our COD customers). At the home, you will rendezvous with laborers that we have scheduled to perform the load or unload. Your role is to manage the laborers to ensure the shipment is handled professionally, the customer is well informed, and all of the required work is completed to the customer's satisfaction. At origin, you will inventory the shipment using the Mobile Mover app and at destination, you will also use the app to deliver. CDL A OTR HHG owner operator | Full time | As a HHG driver, you will be dispatched by our office to the residence of our customers. (Military personnel or our COD customers). You will be responsible to set your own driving tempo to meet this reservation in accordance with FMCSA regulations. You will be responsible to set up your own labor (We can assist). Your role as driver is to load and unload the customer's articles safely and without damage. You must manage the laborers to ensure the shipment is handled professionally, the customer is well informed, and all of the required work is completed to the customer's satisfaction. You will be responsible to ensure the proper upkeep of the trailer interior and acquisition of packing materials and disposal of packing debris.
